TESTIMONIALS

"During our studio days with ArtEast, watching Lissa  manipulating pencils was an inspiration. Her ability to handle those pointed graphite leads was a mystery to me. I could not conceive that simple graphite pencils could produce such intricate works of art.

Without the one-day Basics course, I would not have been able to know how to utilise the various leads, erasers, tortillons and stumps, erasers and styluses. What is fascinating is how a simple pencil can render a beautiful image in black and white. I am looking forward to the advanced course as a way to improve on the basics."

"Just a quick note to tell you how much I enjoyed your workshop, Basics of Shading in Graphite. You are very organized, starting with the list of materials needed.   You provided interesting reading material, along with examples, and hands on material for us to learn with and practice.   The venue was very comfortable, but mostly it was your knowledge and enthusiasm that made the day such a great experience.   I look forward to your workshops this fall."

"Lissa is a kind and wonderful teacher (and amazing pencil artist)!  Her instructions are clear and the practical exercises provide a good understanding of the use of the various pencil grades.  I look forward to taking more courses with Lissa!"

"In March 2018 I had the pleasure of taking a Beginner Level “Magic of Pencil” class with Lissa Rachelle. The class was well planned and very well delivered. Lissa is generous with her knowledge, thorough and very encouraging. There was an accepting and relaxed atmosphere in the class which helps so much when you are new to a medium.

I hope to have the opportunity to take more classes with Lissa in the future."
