The Red Fox is a native species in Canada and can be found in every province and territory, except for Nunavut. It is a small carnivorous mammal that is well adapted to living in a variety of environments, including forests, grasslands, and urban areas. Red Foxes are omnivorous and will feed on a wide range of food, including small mammals, birds, fruits, and insects. They are known for their intelligence and ability to solve problems, and have a reputation for being cunning and sly. In Canada, the Red Fox is not considered a threatened or endangered species but, sadly, it is hunted for sport and for its fur.
