Oh, how I love this quote! Have you read Jonathan Livingston Seagull? If not, I highly recommend it! So many beautiful lessons in that story! These Ring-billed Gulls seemed so very intent on their destination as they made their way across the sands at Mooney's Bay, completely ignoring the sunbathers, picnickers and kids clamouring all around them ... intent only on their own thoughts and purpose. Often considered to be a dirty, nuisance bird, I nevertheless really enjoy watching gulls, and always seem to learn something from them … such as the importance of remaining calm and focused, even in the midst of chaos!
